NYC Outward Bound Schools Builds Multilingual Health Forms

NYC Outward Bound Schools uses Salesforce to manage outdoor programs, courses, student data, admissions, and health screening for overnight programs.

The organization serves families across multiple language communities, so offering forms in multiple languages was essential. Its existing tools required separate forms and links for each language, creating extra admin work. Every new language meant another form to build, another link to manage, and more maintenance as languages were added.

Attendance was another manual process. For overnight programs, staff printed paper rosters from Salesforce and gave them to instructors to mark attendance in the field. Later, staff had to enter that attendance back into Salesforce.

This led to late or missing submissions, follow-ups with instructors, and manual tallying errors.

NYC Outward Bound Schools uses Titan Enterprise Suite to support its outdoor programs, including multilingual health forms, overnight health screening, attendance tracking, and simpler Salesforce data entry.

Multilingual Health Forms: The team uses Titan’s translation capabilities to offer English, Spanish, and Mandarin through one form link.

Overnight Health Screening: When a course is created in Salesforce, Titan generates a link with the course ID and stores it on the course record. The organization sends the link to schools to share with families and students. Families submit health information through the link, and Titan creates the related Participant record, generates and stores signed waiver documents, and notifies the admissions team for review.

Attendance Tracking: The organization rolled out a Titan-built attendance form where instructors can view course participants, mark attendance on mobile, and submit attendance from the field.

Simpler Salesforce Entry: Titan gives staff a simpler way to create or update Salesforce records without navigating the CRM directly.
