Centraide emerged from a desire to create an effective collective tool for fundraising that would support community agencies. As key players in the fight against poverty and social exclusion for more than 50 years, Centraide has brought together philanthropic, institutional, social, and community partners to improve living conditions for people facing various vulnerabilities while driving social innovation.

Centraide du Grand Montreal’s Salesforce

Centraide has been using Salesforce since 2019 to manage relationships with partners, including:

  • Volunteers
  • Donors
  • Organizations
  • Companies Organizing Workplace Campaigns
  • Community Organizations They Support

Salesforce enables Centraide to centralize the recording of donations and manage fundraising campaigns, volunteer activities, volunteer committees, and other essential data to fulfill its mission. 

Salesforce also helps Centraide ensure rigorous tracking of investments in funded organizations.

The Challenge

Before using Titan, one of the biggest challenges was the manual creation and management of documents, such as:

This action required significant time and effort from Centraide’s teams. Additionally, it was a challenge to centralize and track partner communications effectively, especially with Law 25 (personal data protection). 

Centraide needed a solution to automate these processes while ensuring security and compliance.

Other technical challenges for Centraide included the following:

Translation of Components: Salesforce does not always support all necessary translations for Centraide’s French-speaking users. This can make experiences less seamless.

Governance Limitations: Centraide must constantly monitor SOQL limits and restrictions on mass insertions and updates in Salesforce. These restrictions slow Centraide’s processes down.

Titan’s Solution

Centraide chose Titan for seamless integration with Salesforce and its robust features for document generation and electronic signatures. Titan perfectly addressed the need to centralize data and automate the creation and tracking of documents, a crucial aspect of improving Centraide’s internal efficiency.

After testing Titan, Centraide’s Salesforce administrator was particularly impressed with the tool’s ease of use. Integration with Word via a plugin was exceptionally intuitive. 

The technical support team was another deciding factor for Centraide. Titan’s team consistently demonstrated responsiveness and efficiency, addressing Centraide’s requests promptly. 

Additionally, Titan’s website and YouTube channel are rich with tutorials and examples, making solution implementation significantly easier. Centraide was also drawn to Titan’s range of additional modules, such as Titan Web. It could be valuable for developing a dedicated portal for the organization’s funds. 

These Titan solutions open opportunities for further optimization on Centraide’s internal processes in the future. But for now, Centraide primarily uses Titan Sign to generate contracts and documents with electronic signatures. 

For instance, in 2024 Centraide automated the sending of contracts to community organizations. This solution allowed Centraide to efficiently manage 150 agreements with volunteers and workplace partners, as well as around 300 funding contracts with the organizations it supports.

Centraide also uses Titan Forms to automatically create documents. With this tool, Centraide generated and sent over 700 investment confirmations, significantly simplifying their administrative processes.

Results from Titan

With the adoption of Titan, Centraide has achieved notable efficiency gains. 

For example, automated document generation has enabled Centraide to centralize tracking in their CRM, simplifying the management of interactions with partners. 

Additionally, support teams have saved valuable time, as they no longer need to manually create each document.
