Create a Salesforce Login Page with Titan SmartV

Business Background

When users need to access protected pages or private information, you can create a login page to verify their identity before they proceed. A login page asks users to enter identifying details, such as an email address, ID number, or other required information, and checks those details against existing records.

This is useful when you want to give customers, partners, or external users controlled access to a project without requiring every user to log in directly to Salesforce.

Titan Solution

Titan SmartV lets you create a custom login page that authenticates users against data stored in Salesforce. You can choose the Salesforce object used for authentication and define the identifying fields users must enter to access the project.

Only users with matching information in Salesforce can log in. This helps you control access to protected pages while keeping the login process connected to your Salesforce data.

How to Guide

1. Use the drop-down list to select the object from Salesforce, such as Contact. This is the object you want to use to authenticate a user in Salesforce.

2. Use the drop-down list to select the value, for instance, ContactID. This is usually the ID of the selected object’s record in Salesforce. This is a required field.
   • This is the value returned after the SmartV completed successfully.
   • It will be stored, and you can use it again later, for instance, to do queries.
3. Use the drop-down list to select the email. The default option is Email. This is an optional field.

It is possible to leave the Email field blank (nothing is selected from the drop-down list), and you can add an additional field:

You can then add an email option on the Authentication screen:

The 2FA will be sent to the user’s email address.

4. Click the Add a Field option to add additional fields. There must be at least an email field or an additional field. The more fields you add, the more fields a user will have to complete before gaining access to the page.

• For instance, if you require a first name, a last name, an email address, a street address, and a social security number, the user must complete all these fields before they can log in to the webpage. All these fields will be used to verify the user’s identity.
• Users will see an “Invalid login” message when the information that they supplied cannot be verified. They must supply the correct information for all the fields before they can log in.
• If the user selects the login button without completing all mandatory fields, a message will appear under each mandatory field indicating that it must be completed.

• If the user uses an email address associated with more than one Salesforce record, the login will fail. Refer to the following video for more information.

• After an invalid login, the user must wait 30 seconds before attempting to log in again.

5. Use the drop-down list to select an additional field, such as Full Name. The label added by default matches the field, but it is editable.

6. To add additional protection, click the Kebab icon to open the pop-up.
   • Click the Password Mode checkbox to add password mode to the field. The user’s input data will be protected.

7. Click the Next button. The Condition screen opens.
