SmartV: Set Up 2FA Authentication

Business Background

When users need to access protected pages or sensitive information, you can use two-factor authentication to add an extra layer of verification. Instead of relying only on a username, email address, or password, users must also enter a code sent to a verified email address or mobile device.

This helps confirm that the person trying to access the project is the intended user and reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

Titan Solution

Titan lets you set up 2FA with SmartV Authentication to help secure access to your project. Users can verify themselves with an additional authentication code before continuing, giving you more control over who can access protected pages or project data.

How to Guide

The standard 2FA screen looks as follows:

1. Configure the Login screen.
2. Configure the Condition screen.
3. Use the Two-Factor Authentication toggle switch to enable the option. This is recommended.

Note:

To use two-factor authentication, you need a number field in your chosen Salesforce object for the verification code that can hold at least 6 digits. This field will hold the code to compare against the code the user inserts, regardless of the time that has passed between generating the code and the user inserting it. If the code the user enters does not match the code in this field, the user will be denied access.

4. Use the drop-down list to select the Salesforce verification code field where Titan will store the one-time code.
5. Use the Send email with code to user toggle switch to enable the option. The user will receive an email with the verification code.
   • You can switch this option off and send the code from Salesforce using the standard Salesforce tools.

Note:

It is recommended that you use the default Salesforce option.

6. Use the Show verification page for all login attempts toggle switch to enable the option.
   • The Verification page will be shown for every login attempt, regardless of whether the credentials were valid.
   • This adds another layer of security.

7. If necessary, use the toggle switch to enable the Generate SmartV Quick Link option.
8. Use the drop-down list to select the store link field.
   • Please note that the minimum field length must be 300 characters.

9. If necessary, use the toggle switch to switch on the Sign In using Google option.
   • Use the drop-down list to select the GoogleID field.
   • Add the Google Client ID. In order to use Google Identity Services, you must enable the Google People API.

10. Click the Next button. The Profile screen opens.
