Publish With a Record ID

Use a record ID when the generated document must retrieve data from a specific Salesforce record. The record ID connects the template to the correct record and supports automated document generation.

1. Open the Word template you want to publish.
2. Add a condition to the template.
3. Set the object to Other. This option lets you define the record ID as a custom value.
4. Enter RecordID in the field.
5. Select Save to apply the condition.
6. Publish the template.

Because the template contains the RecordID value, Titan publishes it without displaying a confirmation message.

Publish Without a Record ID

Publish without a record ID when users must generate the document from any Salesforce app page rather than from a specific record.

1. Open the Word template you want to publish.
2. Publish the template without adding a RecordID condition.
3. When the confirmation message appears, review the warning that the template does not use a record ID.
4. Select Yes to continue.
5. Enter a name for the template.
6. Complete the publishing process.

The confirmation message helps prevent you from accidentally publishing a template that is not connected to a Salesforce record.
