What It Is and When to Use It

The Titan Word Add-in for Salesforce documents lets you build dynamic document templates directly in Microsoft Word. You can connect each template to Salesforce or Titan project data, eliminating the need to manually copy information into contracts, quotes, proposals, reports, and other business documents.

Use the add-in when you want to:

• Insert Salesforce data into a Word template.
• Display multiple Salesforce records in tables or free-form sections.
• Collect information through interactive fields.
• Add signatures, images, barcodes, charts, or watermarks.
• Show or hide content based on defined conditions.
• Perform calculations with formulas.
• Store supporting data in hidden fields.
• Preview the completed document as a PDF.

Once you have built the template, Titan can populate it with current data and generate a consistent, ready-to-use document.

Before You Begin

Make sure that:

• Microsoft Word supports Office add-ins.
• You have an active Titan username and password.
• You know whether you need to connect to a Salesforce production or sandbox environment.

Install the Titan Word Add-in

1. Open Microsoft Word and select the Home tab.
2. Click Add-ins on the Word ribbon. Depending on your version of Microsoft Word, you may find this option under Insert > Get Add-ins.

3. Search for FormTitan in the Apps search field.
4. Select FormTitan – Salesforce Composer from the search results.

5. Click Add.
6. Review and accept the provider’s license terms and privacy policy.
7. Click Continue. Microsoft Word adds the FormTitan tab to the ribbon.
8. Select the new FormTitan tab to view the available add-in options.

Sign In to the Add-in

1. Click the FormTitan icon on the ribbon. The Word Composer panel opens on the right side of the document.
2. Click Let’s Start.

3. Enter your Titan email address and password.
4. Select the relevant Salesforce production or sandbox option when required.
5. Click Sign In. You may need to complete CAPTCHA verification.

Note: If your email address is linked to more than one Titan account, select the relevant account using the radio button, and then click Sign In.

After signing in, you can use the Build, Preview, and Publish tabs to create or edit your document template.

Manage Login Notification Emails

Titan sends you an email when your account is used to sign in. You do not need to take any action when you recognize the activity.

To stop receiving these notifications:

1. Open My Account in Titan.
2. Go to Profile.
3. Clear the Email me every time my account is logged into checkbox.

After installing the add-in, you can configure:

• Fields: Insert individual values from Salesforce or your Titan project.
• Tables: Display multiple related records in a structured layout.
• Sections: Present lists of records in a flexible layout without using a table.
• Conditions: Show or hide content when defined criteria are met.
