Lightning Component: Open a URL from a Salesforce Screen Flow

What does this Lightning Component do?

Use the OpenUrl Lightning Component to open a new URL from within a Salesforce screen flow. This can be used to open any URL, including Titan URLs.

You can use this action when a flow needs to direct users to another page, open a Titan project, or continue a process outside the current screen flow.

What are the Relevant Input Parameters?

The following input parameters are available for this action:

  • url: Required. Enter the URL that must open from the screen flow.
  • mode: Optional. Defines how the URL opens. Available values are:
    • blank: Opens the URL in a new tab or window. This is the default value.
    • self: Opens the URL in the current tab or window.

How do I use this Lightning Web Component?

  1. Navigate to a Flow Builder, select the + icon, and choose to add an action:

  1. In the New Action Window, select OpenUrl:

  1. Give the action a label, API name, and set relevant input values. A URL is required:

  1. Click the Done button. You have now added an action that will open your URL from within a flow.
